Miners’ banners  are an extremely important part of the heritage of the pit communities of County Durham.

In this illustrated talk Newcastle author Ken Smith will throw the spotlight on these wonderful icons of coalfield trade unionism.

Ken is a former Journalist, member of National Union of Journalists, and has written books on working class history (Echoes of North East Miners).
