This year, Flint the Rock Showman and The Geordie Juggler Nat Lunatricks are special guests on the Gala field at Durham Miners Gala, ready to entertain young people with a theatrical journey that explores 4.5 billion years of our planet’s geological past to find out what it can tell us about our future.

The Rock Showman, a geologist, part-time miner & full-time rock licker, can be found in his booth on Gala day, where he will host fossil hunting activities, a crystal dig and an inaugural International Stone Throwing competition! Check out his latest video for a preview of what you can look forward to at The Big Meeting.
